About Us
In 1995 I purchased my first purebred dog, a beautiful Golden Retriever from Goldfleece Kennels. Her name was Goldfleece Pretty Woman, Sascha. Sascha was responsible for the love I have for this wonderful breed. At the time I did not have an interest in showing or breeding she was purely a wonderful pet.
In 1998 I purchased my second Golden Retriever from Goldtreve Kennels. His name was Goldtreve Dream Boy, Indy. He was a wonderful companion for both myself and Sascha. For the next 8 years, these two beautiful goldens were my world and we shared many happy times together. In September 2006 the unthinkable happened, my beautiful girl Sascha fell ill, and died a short time later, a few months shy of her 12th birthday.
In 2007 I purchased my third Golden Retriever, Buffalo Rustic Phoenix, Phoenix. He was born on the same day as Indy, only 9 years later. Phoenix was purchased, again, as a pet however with a view to showing him later down the track. In the meantime we did lots of obedience, he excelled at this. Work was very hectic, and I ended up having him desexed at around 2 years of age as, at the time, I couldn't see me having the time to start to show him, consequently, he was never bred from.
In early 2009 we moved out of suburban Sydney. What a change this was. The commute was long for a short time but it was well worth the move. Work pressures eased off and now, having the time and space, I started thinking more about showing again. We had two beautiful Golden Retrievers, but, loving many breeds, we decided to have a look at the longhair weimaraners. I fell inlove with them and in 2010 I purchased what was to become my first show dog, and first weimaraner, Sinaway Top Glory, Willow. She completed her title with ease and is now Australian Champion Sinaway Top Glory. We no longer breed weimaraners, but do enjoy showing those owned by others occasionally.
In 2011 I purchased my foundation golden retriever bitch Faith, Ch Dykinta Secrets Safron. I am forever grateful to her breeder Wendy Atkins for allowing me to have one of her beautiful goldens. Faith was the grand-daughter of two of the most successful goldens in the country, Charlie (Supreme Ch Dykinta Classified) and Chance (Supreme Champion and NZ Champion Dykinta Take A Chance). She produced 3 lovely litters to three lovely boys and gave me a great foundation to work with.
I currently work with Guide Dogs NSW/ACT working in their kennels raising the babies to 8 weeks of age that hopefully will one day become fully-fledged guide dogs. As such I have a lot of experience with litters and raising puppies, and have both gained and shared knowledge in this area with Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
I hope you enjoy my website, Bronwyn.
